Overview

Department of Nursing and Health Science (NHS) is one of the most demanding and leading departments at Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST). NHS department started functioning in 2020. The department has a set of laboratories, well-equipped with sophisticated instruments and facilities, where the students can learn and demonstrate their theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The department not only focuses on the development of theoretical knowledge and practical skills but also puts significant efforts to make the students more expressive and communicative to improve their competence. The NHS department has young faculty members who are dedicated to providing innovative ideas and necessary opportunities so that the students can acquire the fundamental knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for success in the professional practice in the field of nursing and health science.

Professional Accreditations

The Department of Nursing and Health Science offers the Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Nursing which is recognized and approved by the University Grand Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) and Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council (BNMC). The students need to undergo a total of 160 credits in the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program in four years.
